Trying to Decide Betwen Jump In and Wordsmith Apprentice

My son will be homeschooling for 6th grade, going back to school in 7th. He’s a bright, straight A student but writing is not his fave. He struggles with coming up with ideas on what to write, and coming up with enough content to fill a page.

I’ve got curriculum narrowed down to Wordsmith Apprentice or Jump In (first half only). Anyone like to share your opinion on these?

My daughter used Wordsmith Apprentice last year (6th grade) and loved it. She was a reluctant writer. This curriculum changed her mind. The assignments are short, fun, and student directed.
