Science Curriculum (unit study)

I am not real familiar with all the Science curriculums. I am wanting something that will allow me to teach one topic to all my children but at their individual levels/ages (unit study). Any suggestions?

Have you thought about Apologia Science?

I’d suggest a lapbook approach. Check out homeschoolshare.com for a list of free lapbooks. Many are science-related. You would just check out age-appropriate topical books from the library and guide each child to go as deep as age warrants.

We used the unit studies from the link below for my kindergartener and 3rd grader, and I supplemented with library books. This was helpful to get me started though and brainstorm fun topics and ideas. I love science, and my kids do too! Good luck!

I can suggest one unit study that did well with my 8 and 12 year old. Byte Sized Physics was excellent and had extensions for older students. Text would be a but difficult for those younger than 8 I think, though.

Rachelehansen- Thank you for sharing this site!!!

Thanks for posting this. I was looking for some new ideas too! We used the magic school bus subscription and apologia in the past. Both have been great but always looking for a change.
