I am interested in starting the IEW student writing intensive level A with my children. However I was curious as to how exactly this program works as far as levels. Do you have to do the iew swi continuation level a before going on to iew swi level b? Is the continuation level necessary?
I believe the continuation levels give reinforcement as well as stretching the curriculum across several years if you start in the lower grades. I had planned on starting IEW SWI Level A with my girls two years ago, and since I put it off so long, we won’t have time to fit in the continuation levels, we are just going to follow up with SWI level B as soon as we finish A. Had we started in their younger years, we would have had to add the continuation levels in order to stretch the curriculum across several grades. Hope that makes sense.
