If you have not heard of Letters from Afar - it is a FABULOUS extension for Expedition Earth. Google search Letters From Afar, follow them on FB or Instagram.
Basically, this is a subscription letter service for $6.50/month. The letters are from “Isabelle” a world traveler who documents & shares her travels. You receive a 1 page (front & back) full color letter. The letters are actually created by a husband/wife team in North Carolina - one is an artist, the other a writer.
We will be studying Expedition Earth for the year of 2019. We began with China & this month’s letter was from China! It was so perfect & added so much to what we had already learned.
I did contact the creators to get the list of countries that have been covered in letters since they began in 2017. You can purchase “back issues” for $6/each. I purchased India, Thailand & Jordan (since it neighbors Israel) to add to this first bit of the curriculum.
Highly recommend this subscription service. One letter each month.
