My question is about teaching religion in the homeschool format and what others recommend concerning materials and/or curriculum. I’m not trying to proselytize or speak about others faith in a negative way or promote one faith over another. I’m mainly interested in what other people have to say about how they are teaching their faith to their children and what resources they recommend to use and are there any they don’t recommend.
I think it depends on your end goal, if you’re looking for a curriculum that teaches your child about a variety of different religions, that can usually be found included in world history studies. If you’re looking to teach a specific one, Christianity, then I believe Abeka and BJU Press have a great curriculum. If you have older students (high school) Summit Bible Curriculum is a great in-depth study to check out!
We’ve mostly done daily devotions as opposed to a more formal religious curriculum in our house. I think it really just depends on what you’re looking for.
