I’m just curious about the order you use for these books. I did the Animals one with my 2nd and 3rd grader this year, and we all loved it. I’m starting to think about which one to use next year.
One thing I really love about this curriculum is that I can use it with multiple grades. Next year, I will have a 4th, 3rd, and 1st grader. I am hoping to be able to combine science lessons for all of them, and just trying to figure out which one we should do.
We use God’s design for science. This year we are in the green books (God’s design for life). We just finished the world of plants, it was awesome, however we started it in November, and it’s much better in the spring or fall because you need some plants growing outside. We did fine however improvising since it was winter. We are now moving into the world of animals and are looking forward to it. We also have multiple grades (6th, 5th, and 2nd), so I love how it’s set up for everyone. Next year we are doing the last green book about the human body then moving into the purple books (I think that’s the color).
We have completed the green set… animals, plants and human body. Can’t go wrong with any of those next. We’re 1st, 3rd an 4th next year as well- we’ve done them all together! (And that was basically one a year, BTW… we’re very relaxed bouncing back and forth between Science and History. The little one has been hanging in there and listening/coloring since she was an older 3yo.)
