So, long story but after going through evaluations for learning disabilities our school district suggested a class at a local school with a reduced size and extra help in the class, and teachers with some knowledge and training related to what my son is dealing with. It’s a mixed grade class where students are taught at their level in each subject. For various reasons we think this is a good fit for my son.
He’s been homeschooling for four years…hasn’t done school since KG (that was in a different district, school). We’ve told him about it and he seems actually excited to try it (Yeah! That will make things easier).
For anyone else who has put their child back in school after years of homeschooling, I’d love your advice on how to best prepare him, and what to expect. Thanks.
